Randy L. Glover SENIOR PASTOR
Pastor Randy L. Glover is a native of Atlanta, GA. He grew up in Northwest Atlanta and was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. He is a Graduate of Morehouse College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of Philosophy and Religion.
On August 30, 1970 at age 13, Pastor Glover began his preaching ministry at First Corinth Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. M. L. Raglin. As a young preacher, he received and joyfully accepted invitations to minister the Word of God at numerous Youth Day programs and Youth Revivals in and throughout the city of Atlanta.
In 1980, Pastor Glover began his first assignment as the Under-Shepherd of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Currently, he is the pastor of Norwood Tabernacle Baptist Church where he as served faithfully and diligentl for twenty-eight years. Since becoming Pastor in 1986, he has organized several ministries and auxillaries to enhance the church's ministry and mission.
Pastor Glover strongly believes in reaching out to the Perry Homes Community. For more than 10 years, Norwood Tabernacle has provided Thanksgiving Dinner to the community. He expnded the feeding ministry to serving breakfast and dinner twice a month. Each year during Christmas the church partners with the Department of Family & Children's Services (DFACS) to provide toys, clothing, and food to a needy family.
Pastor Glover views Christian Education as paramount to the growth and development of every believer, and feels it is the responsibility of the church to provide that education. In 2013, he added a second Bible Study class to the church's educational program.
Pastor Glover loves and cherishes family. He is the proud father of four children: LaQuellis, Randilyn, Brandon and Jared, and even prouder grandfather of four: Briah, Felicia, Cameron and Aniya. ~
